Beautiful Fall

This weather is amazing.  I love fall.  All the colors, smells, the warm sun.  It makes me want to be outside all day long!  Gotta love upper 70 weather in October, added bonus.  Evalyn is so happy outside, she just becomes more alive and animated.  I love living in MN.  To be able to see all the seasons and see life running it's course.  Reminds you how amazing God is.  Who else could have made such beauty?!?

Here are some photos from the cabin this last weekend.

Eating dinner at The Warf.  Decent food, great view!

Evalyn walking in the leaves.  It was so beautiful.

One second too slow... she had been smiling.  Wanted to sit in Mommy's chair ;)

 Breath taking...

This one makes me feel God's presence in the world.  His warmth always around us.

Father's Day Weekend

We all went up to the cabin for Father's Day. Chris, Connor, Evlayn, Lowell and myself. We had lots of fun. We went and got ice cream, the boys went to the races, we went for a boat ride and Chris and Connor played video games. Chris and Connor even braved the cold water and went swimming with Bear. Evlayn and I hung out on the boat, she can't wear sunblock yet. It was so beautiful on Saturday. Sunday it rained, but that provided father/son bonding time for Chris and Connor... playing video games.

Our insane dog!

We went up to the cabin after Thanksgiving. We haven't been up there since this summer. It was chilly up in Cross Lake, but it was great to settle under a blanket and read my book. Bear was not so sure he liked the colder weather, but he liked getting to sleep in the cabin. Grandpa took Bear on lots of walks, which Bear loves because he does not need to wear his gentle leader or have a leash up at the cabin.

Saturday afternoon, Bear decided it would be fun to go SWIMMING in the lake, with the ice. There were sheets of ice floating in the lake. Bear tried to get up on one and ended up in the lake up to his head. He didn't like that much. He really liked to take chunks of ice out of the lake and bring them to me. I was not fond of that game!

He has gotten so big! Nearly 70 pounds now. He is a big lover and loves to play with all of us. Although, he tries to eat Gus!!
